My experience with the tour was overall amazing. I arrived to the airport with my family, 2 hours late due to delays in flights and I was stressed to figure out how I would be able to get transport from the airport to the hotel; to realize our driver had been waiting for us the whole time. Our travel to Italy was beyond stressful, and it was definitely a relief to have someone awaiting our arrival and guiding us our first few hours in a country we have never been to before. We met with Marijam the next morning and we loved her. She was very informative/knowlegable, bright and energetic, as well as easy to talk to. Qualities you definitely would want in a person who would be guiding you for the next 10 days. She kept things interesting, and made sure our needs were being met, at the same time she was able to make our entire group befriend one another, almost as a family. The first hotel we stayed at was amazing, Rome Garden hotel was a great experience. The hotel had wonderful staff that went above and beyond for our needs and accommodations, food was great, and not to far from the busy scenery. We started our stay in Italy at this hotel and ended our stay here at this same hotel and I was not disappointed. I would love to stay again if I were to come to Rome in the future. The second hotel that our family stayed in was great, staff was great and had wide selection for breakfast. The only complaint was that the dinner that the dinner the was provided was horrible. Dinner consisted of gnocchi about a spoonful, very bland and tasteless, followed by four small cubes of turkey in some sauce with a spoonful or two of roasted potatoes, ending with dessert. Thankful for having dinner provided after the travel, but it definitely lacked flavor, portion was way to small, and not a meal I would like to get served again. Hotel del fino in Venice was an okay experience, location was great, close to the train station, easy access to stores and restaurants. Dinner that was provided was amazing, salmon with veggies were delicious. The down side was that one of the elevators were broken, the room was not cool enough, the mini refrigerator was not cool any items, and the breakfast although it came with variety was hard/ tasteless/ and not appealing. I would definitely look into other options if I were to come to Venice again. Our driver Paolo was amazing, he definitely treated us all with respect and brought us to our locations safely and in a timely manner. Our tour guides were overall great. The tour guide that was provided in Florence spoke a little too fast and there were a number of time where I felt lost since she did walk a little to fast through the crowds. The Tour guide that was provided at the Vatican was not so great, given that the pope had the church closed beginning 10am she really rushed us through the church and our experience there. The meeting place was to be in the middle of the church, which was horrible since security brought us straight to the exit and was impossible to meet at the middle of the church due to the natural flow of the other guest and everyone yelling at one another. She should have already estimated the degree of how crowed it was going to be and meet somewhere else, she stayed in the middle of the church for some time but past those mid gates there was no way. There were various times that she said she would bring us to a certain location to see a specific item, to find out she already exited the area and we were already out and ending our tour. Our tour guide was simply doing a job, seemingly uninterested and not looking out for our interest. Sadly to say I did not enjoy my experience at the Vatican. Overall experience was great, and as I look onto a map, I am beyond happy that I was able to visit almost all of Italy. Thank you. ... Lire la suite
