Day 1: Canada - Lima (Peru)
Flight with a good itinerary.
Arrival at the airport in Lima. You will be greeted by our local representatives after exiting the customs and transferred to your hotel in Lima.
Day 2: Lima
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure to start your exploration of Lima. (Breakfast)
Lima, the capital of Peru, is a sprawling city that concentrates a third of the population of the country. The historic center of Lima, with its colonial buildings and museums, is very popular but the city is also young and dynamic, like Barranco, a trendy neighborhood bustling with small restaurants, art galleries and designer boutiques.
Day 3: Lima
Following breakfast, half-day guided city tour of Lima where your local guide will show you around Lima's most iconic streets and plazas. Starting at the Love Park in Miraflores, you will get a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Heading toward the city center, you will stop at Huaca Pucllana, an important ceremonial center of the Lima culture developed between the 3rd and the 8th century. In the historic center, you will visit the Main Square (Plaza Mayor) where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. Then, you will visit the Cathedral and explore the Church of Santo Domingo, a resting place for two important Peruvian saints: San Martin de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima.
The rest of the day is free. You can also opt for an interesting half-day tour ($) of Lima including the beautiful Larco Museum, an antique tavern and the Magic Water Circuit. (Breakfast)

In the afternoon, experience a different side of Lima. Learn more about 5,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history at the Larco Museum, housed in a colonial mansion of the Viceroyalty of Peru dating back to the 18th century, and built on top of the remains of a Pre-Columbian pyramid from the 7th century. Continuation toward an antique tavern where you will be delighted by some delicious Peruvian sandwiches accompanied by a drink made of Pisco. Finally, you will head to the Magic Water Circuit, the largest water and light show in Latin America where you will witness the perfect communion and harmony of water, light, music and images.
Day 4: Lima - Cusco
After breakfast, greeting in the lobby of your hotel and transfer to the airport in Lima for your flight to Cusco.
Arrival at the airport in Cusco. Greeting by our local representatives and transfer to your hotel in Cusco. In the afternoon, half-day tour of Cusco with your local guide. You will start with a visit of San Cristobal Plaza, where you will get a panoramic view of the city, before heading to San Pedro Market to soak in local flavors and learn more about products grown in this region. Continuation toward the magnificent Coricancha temple, whose Quechua name means "Gold Temple", whose walls were covered in gold, and the Convent of Santo Domingo. Then, you will walk from San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, to the Hatun Rumiyoc street, stopping at the Inca Roca Palace which is home to the Archbishop’s Palace and the famous Twelve Angle Stone. Arriving in the Plaza de Armas, you will visit the cathedral with its valuable colonial masterpieces. Overnight in Cusco. (Breakfast)
Day 5: Cusco - Sacred Valley
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will discover the wonderful Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will first stop at Awanacancha, a tourist complex where you will see and feed Andean camelids such as llamas and alpacas, and where local people will show you the weaving and dyeing techniques of their traditional textiles. Continuation toward the Inca and colonial village of Pisac where one of the most beautiful archeological sites in the Sacred Valley is located, at the top of the mountain overlooking the colonial town of Pisac. You will have a walking tour of the colonial town followed by some free time to take a look at the handicraft market. Then, you will head to the impressive Inkariy Museum for lunch.
After lunch, you will get an interesting tour of the Inkariy Museum where your local guide will take you into the world of the fascinating pre-Columbian civilizations. Each culture has its own building with two rooms where cultural representations and key artifacts of ancient Peru are exhibited. Overnight in Urubamba. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 6: Sacred Valley
After breakfast at the hotel, you will continue your exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with your local guide. This journey will take you first to Moray, a place with breathtaking views of colossal, concentric terraces resembling an amphitheatre that were built to recreate 20 different types of microclimates, and that were studied to ensure the agricultural production of the Inca empire. Continuation toward Maras and its millenary salt ponds. You will certainly be awestruck by the beauty of this site and the contrast between the 5,000 white salt evaporation ponds and the green canyon that descends to the Rio Vilcanota and the Sacred Valley.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Ollantaytambo, a picturesque small town full of colors and inhabited since the Inca time. There, you will visit the main temple that was used as a fortress during the Inca resistance. Overnight in Urubamba. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 7: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
After breakfast, greeting in the lobby of your hotel and transfer to the Ollantaytambo station to board your train toward Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival at the station in Aguas Calientes, you will be greeted and shown to the bus to Machu Picchu. En route, enjoy spectacular views of the Urubamba river and canyon.
Machu Picchu, often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas", stands in a sumptuous and enchanting location amidst extremely rich and diverse flora and fauna. You will certainly be dazzled by the incredible terraces on the mountainside, as well as by the stairs, ceremonial enclosures and urban areas made of meticulously assembled stones that have remarkably stood the test of time. Energy is all around you at Machu Picchu. After the guided visit, you will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area before returning to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night. Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu are limited to 2,500 per day. Hence, it's important to have your passport and your entrance ticket on this day to enter the site.
Day 8: Machu Picchu - Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to continue your exploration of the area around Aguas Calientes. You can also opt for an interesting optional excursion ($) with your guide.
At the time arranged with your local guide, you will be transferred from the hotel to the train station in Aguas Calientes to board your train toward Cusco. Arrival at the train station in Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Evening free and overnight in Cusco. (Breakfast)
Day 9: Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day at leisure to continue your exploration of the area around Cusco. You can also opt for an interesting optional excursion ($) with your guide. (Breakfast)
Day 10: Cusco - Lima
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some free time to revisit your favorite spots in Cusco. In the afternoon, transfer from the hotel to the airport in Cusco to board your flight back to Lima. Arrival at the airport in Lima and connection to your international flight. (Breakfast)
Day 11: Lima - Canada
Overnight flight home.
